NN Group offers three projects under the framework of Marie Sklodowska- Curie Individual Fellowships

Marie Sklodowska- Curie Individual Fellowship (Call MSCA IF 2015) is open offering multiple opportunities to experienced researchers to return and reintegrate in Europe. 

There are 8 scientific areas established for MSCA. Our group offers 3 interdisciplinar projects under this framework (see attachments)

 1.Field of PHYSICS, Optoelectronics in room-temperature multiferroic iron oxide.

2. Field of CHEMISTRY, Engineering novel magnetic nano-biomaterials to address tissue repair guided by angiogenesis.

 3.Field of LIFE SCIENCE, Assessing nanoparticles in 3D biological environments, from cell culture to C. elegans.

Elisa Carenza has been awarded with the I Dr. Ramón Ríos Prize

CONGRATULATIONS ELISA!!!

The Foltra Foundation http://www.proyectofoltra.org/ awarded Elisa Carenza, as a first author under 30, with the First Edition of the Dr Ramon Rios Prize for her contribution in the paper “In vitro angiogenic performance and in vivo brain targeting of magnetizad endothelial progenitor cells for neurorepair therapies” published Jan 2014 in Nanomedicine: Nanotechnology, Biology and Medicine.Elisa succesfully defended her PhD thesis in July this year.

Last Friday, Anna was recognized by femtalent with the TALENT EMERGENT 2014 award for her scientific career and her entrepreneurial activities in the company Osmoblue. She had been proposed by AMIT-CAT (Asociación de Mujeres Investigadoras y Tecnólogas).

Elisa Carenza and Muling Zeng represented ICMAB at Nobel Campus “Chemistry for Life”.

nobel campusLast 1st to 4th of July took place in Tarragona the Nobel Campus “Chemistry for Life”. ICMAB was represented by two students Elisa Carenza and Muling Zeng.

They had the chance to interact with Nobel Laureates as Sidney Altman, Ryoji Noyori, Barry Sharpless, Aaron Ciechanover, Richard R. Schrock y Ada E.Yonath.

Prof. Ada E. Yonath was appointed as mentor of Elisa Carenza and Muling Zeng. They had the opportunity to present their work to Prof. Ada E. Yonath and she provided feedback and advice for their future career.

 Overall some extraordinary scientific days!

They will have the privilege to meet and present their work to Nobel laureates such as Prof. Sydney Altman, Prof. Ryoji Noyori, Prof. K.Barry Sharpless, Prof. Richard Schrock, Prof. Aaron Ciechanover and Prof. Ada E. Yonath.
