WELCOME ARIANA AND NEREA!

As the new academic course is starting, we have two new students in the N&N Group. We present you Ariana and Nerea:

• Ariana Roldán will do her Master project in biological and environmental engineering:

Hi there! I am Ariana Roldán, a Chemical Engineer who is developing her Master’s thesis at ICMAB. I feel attracted to the world of engineering, more specifically, the one related to chemistry and biology. For this reason, I decided to broaden my knowledge by studying the master’s degree in biological and environmental engineering. It brings together some of the fundamentals that I need to achieve my goal, which is being part of a scientific breakthrough. I am delighted to be able to contribute my experience in the field of drug nanoencapsulation being part of Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites group. I am looking forward to learn as much as possible from this opportunity.

• Nerea Murugarren is joining the bacterial cellulose team for the final year of her degree in Biochemistry:

Hello! My name is Nerea Murugarren and I am a Biochemistry student in the University Autonomous of Barcelona. Although I am from Navarre, I live in Barcelona, where I study. I am 21 years old and I will start my fourth degree year in September. I chose the ICMAB for my placement lab work because part of the research field that the group “Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites” is doing fulfilled my interests. I will be joining them working with bacterial cellulose for about 6 months and what I expect from that experience is new knowledge and experience working in a lab group. I also will be pleased to know new people while I am in the center. See you around here!
