Eduard is a 3rd year student of the Nanoscience and Nanotechnology dregree at the UAB. He is doing a summer internship with us under the supervision of Dra. Anna Laromaine.
WELCOME to Martí Gibert!
Martí Gibert, has just finished the first year of Nanocience and Nanotechnology in the UAB. This summer will work on a project about gelification and cristalization of SiO2 under the supervision of Marti Gich.
N&N Group grows during the summer quarter!!!
Large demographic increase of our group during the summer quarter. The group meeting of today had a record attendance of 16!.
Martí Gich seminar at Collège de France
Today, Martí Gich is visiting the Group of Clément Sanchez at Collège de France, where they will assess potential subjects of collaboration.
He will give a seminar entitled “Oxydes metastables pour des applications téchnologiques: le cas de ε-Fe2O3“
Group members attend the Consolider-Nanoselect workshop in Sant Feliu de Guíxols next week
Siming Yu, Pengfei Niu, Martí and Anna Roig will attend the Nanoselect workshop to be held in Sant Feliu next week.
Siming will present two posters and Pengfei and Martí will give two oral communications. You can see the program here.
WELCOME to Carla Fernandez!
Carla has just finished the second year of Nanocience’s and Nanotechnology at the UAB. This summer she has joined our group for a summer project on Janus nanoparticles under the supervision of Dra. Anna Roig.
Muling Zheng attended the 2013 Chunhui Science Conference
Muling attended the 2013 Chunhui Science Conference (26th June – 2nd July, Dalian, China) (www.chinaocs.com). The conference was organized by the Science and Technology Ministry and Education Ministry of China. Its purpose is to introduce a number of advanced technologies and projects overseas of high-level talents to return China. 1,270 overseas students were selected. Muling was the only representative from Spain. 28 provinces and municipalities have been enrolled in this conference. China is offering a very strong economical support for students abroad.

Large Group attendance to the E-MRS Symposia in Strasbourg
Nerea Murillo, Anna Laromaine and Anna Roig attended the E-MRS Spring Meeting in Strasbourg. They were busy running from symposium Q to symposium U and R.
Anna Roig gave an invited contribution on Symposium Q: “Bionanomaterials for imaging, sensing and actuating”.
