Our group is committed to bring science closer to people. To this end, we participate in different kinds of activities such as seminars and workshops. From time to time, we collaborate with the media and we also organize outreach activities in collaboration with primary and secondary schools.

A huge number of activities were organized this year to celebrate Women in Science Day, which is the 11th of February. This year it was the fifth anniversary of the 11F initiative, and four of our group members went virtually to different schools to talk about how they became scientists and to show them important women scientist figures

Jan presented an ICMAB seminar on face masks – materials and reusability

Face masks are still one of the key factors helping us face the current COVID-19 pandemic, and have been part of the conversation since the first responses to the virus started to appear. The other key factor is physical distancing. Jan Grzelak, a PhD student in N&N Group, has presented an Online ICMAB Seminar on the current knowledge we have on the materials used to create masks and their reusability.
