Juan Pellico secured a grant from La Marató de TV3 to develop an innovative pneumonia treatment
Juan Pellico has been awarded a grant by La Marató de 3Cat to develop the Carri-Air project, which aims to transform the treatment of pneumonia. The three-year project, which will start in early 2026, is a collaboration between ICMAB-CSIC, the Institut d’Investigació i Innovació Parc Taulí (I3PT) and the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP).
Carri-Air is coordinated by Aina Areny Balagueró (I3PT). Juan Pellico will be accompanied by NN researchers Anna Roig and Anna Solé. It is the second La Marató grant that the NN group will have after securing End-STROKE, a project that investigates the use of therapeutic nanomaterials to enhance the recovery of stroke-affected tissues.
