NN group member Nanthilde Malandain collaborated in this interesting paper about the synthesis and characterization of nanostructured scaffolds based on bacterial nanocellulose for bone tissue engineering under the supervision of Anna Laromaine, Anna Roig and Carlos A. García-González.

Our Ph.D. student Amanda Muñoz-Juan was graduated with a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona on the 16th of January 2024. Her thesis, “Assessment of Bacterial Nanocellulose on Caenorhabditis elegans,” was supervised by Dr. Anna Laromaine at ICMAB-CSIC.

Last 5 of July our PhD student defended her PhD Thesis “Polypyrrole Nanoparticles & Composites: Cardiac arrhythmia treatment evaluated in cells & Caenorhabditis elegans” at ICMAB.
Her Thesis was supervised by Anna Laromaine and she got a Cum Laude from the commitee.

We have a new Doctor at the ICMAB, Doctor Qianzhe Zhang, from the Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites Group (NN) at ICMAB, who defended his PhD thesis on Friday, 4 October 2019. His thesis, supervised by Dr. Martí Gich and Dr. Adrián Carretero was entitled “Microstructural Control of Epitaxial α-Quartz Films”.
