On October 22, Jan Grzelak defended his doctoral thesis “Magnetic and fluorescent mesoporous silica nanorods towards liver theranostic uses”.

The PhD thesis was supervised by Anna Roig and Martí Gich, from the NN Group. The PhD Committee that evaluated the Thesis was formed by Marianne Impéror, Université Paris Saclay, France (President), Gregori Casals Mercadal, Hospital Clínic, Spain (Secretary), and Ana Espinosa de los Monteros Royo, IMDEA Nanociencia, Spain (Vocal).

Jan Grzelak’s PhD thesis was part of the PhD Programme in Materials Science from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).

On September 28, Soledad Roig defended her doctoral thesis “Novel bacterial cellulose materials: structuration, functional nanocomposites and photocurable Hydrogels”.

The PhD thesis was supervised by Anna Roig and Anna Laromaine, from the NN group. The PhD Committee that evaluated the Thesis was formed by Miguel Gama, Universidade do Minho, Portugal (President), Fabiola Vilaseca Morera, Universitat de Girona (Secretary), and Carlos Albert García González, Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (Vocal).

Sole Roig’s PhD thesis was part of the PhD Programme in Materials Science from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).

We have a new Dr in the group! On Tuesday February 9th, Zheng Ma defended his thesis, “Synthesis and Characterization of ε-Fe2O3 Nanoparticles and Thin Films“. The thesis was supervised by Martí Gich.
