The NN Group, key in two new papers

NN Group researchers Dr. Anna RoigDr. Deyaa Abol-Fotouh and Dr. Pablo Guardia published two new papers during the last month. Those publications have been achieved in close collaboration with different international institutions, extending the impact of the research done at the ICMAB-CSIC‘s Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites Group.

New paper in Polymeric Nanocarriers

N&N Group members Anna Solé and Anna Roig published a new article in Polymeric Nanocarriers. The paper is entitled Efficient Nebulization and Pulmonary Biodistribution of Polymeric Nanocarriers in an Acute Lung Injury Preclinical Model.

The publication is available at the journal Small Science and is open access. It has been published in close collaboration with Institut d’Investigació i Innovació Parc Taulí (I3PT-CERCA)Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques de Barcelona (IIBB-CSIC) and AerogenClick here to access the paper.

Anna Solé, honored with the extraordinary award for her MSc

The N&N’s PhD student Anna Solé received the Extraordinary Award for her Master’s Degree on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at the University of Barcelona. This award is given to those who obtain the highest mark in their MSc academic year.

Ms. Solé studied for her Degree during the academic year 2021-22, when she prepared her Master’s Thesis on polymeric nanocapsules at the ICMAB with Prof. Anna Roig. After her successful stay, she continues today at the Group of Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites, now working on her PhD.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanlaya Katewongsa delivers a seminar to the N&N group

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanlaya Katewongsa visited the Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites Group from June 12 – 14. Katewongsa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at Mahidol University (Thailand) and holds an adjunct role at the School of Materials Science and Innovation. She delivered a seminar on June 12 called In vitro Studies of Riboflavin Functionalized Magnetic Nanoparticles for Breast Cancer Delivery.
