On 20-22 January 2020 in Caparica (Lisbon, Portugal), the IV International Symposium on Nanoparticles/Nanomaterials and Applications 2020 (ISN2A-2020) took place. Anna Roig attended the Symposium as a Keynote speaker with her talk “Magnetic Nanocapsules for Brain Repair and Imaging after a Stroke”.
Yajie Zhang, PhD student from the N&N group, attended the 15TH EUROPEAN SYMPOSIUM ON CONTROLLED DRUG DELIVERY that took place in Egmond aan Zee, The Netherlands. He presented a poster entitled “Multifunctional PLGA Nanocapsules as Drug Carrier for Angiogenic Therapies”.
Last 3rd of July 2017, Anna Roig delivered the invited contribution “In-vitro and in-vivo screening of magnetic nanoparticles” at the Moscow International Symposium on Magnetism(MISM-2017). MISM Symposium is held every three years and it takes place at the Lomonosov Moscow State University. More the 1000 participants attended this edition where the communications addressed all aspects of magnetism. Anna Roig’s talk was included in the topic: Magnetism in Biology and Medicine.
Some of the most experienced and renowned researchers in the field, such as Dr. Manel Esteller(Cancer Epigenetics, Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute – IDIBELL),Dr. Antoni Trilla (Epidemiologist, Hospital Clinic, ISGlobal), andDr. Patrick Aloy(Structural Bioinformatics and Network Biology, Institute for Research in Biomedicine – IRB), will give Invited Lectures in the symposium.
The symposium will also include some interesting workshops on subjects of specific interest for PhD students, such as “10 tips to get your paper published in high-impact journals and how to avoid rejections” by Dr. Marta Pulido, “The anomaly of women in science” by Dr. Sònia Estradé, “Business and technology transfer in Biomedicine: why the prospect of making money is not that bad” by Dr. Luís Ruiz Ávila or “Planning your Academic Career, with an Open Mind” by Dr. Elisabeth Pain, among others.
Oana Pascu and Martí Gich delivered two excellent communications at the International Symposium on Advanced Complex Inorganic Nanomaterials in Namur (11th September 2011).
