We are thrilled that the Catalan channel, TV3, has highlighted our experiment to visualize full human endothelial cells labeled with iron oxide nanoparticles carried out at the synchrotron ALBA.

Laura has joined the group to pursue a PhD in nanomedicine under the supervision of Anna Laromaine and Anna Roig. She has been granted a FPU scholarship thanks to an excellent academic record. Laura obtained a degree in Pharmacy from the Universitat de Barcelona in July 2012.

Anna Laromaine, member of our group, is one of the founders of OsmoBlue. This start- up company based in Lausanne is one of the winners of the Fondo de Emprendedores de la Fundación Repsol 2012. Fondo de Emprendedores helps economically and provides mentorship to young companies in energy efficiency topics. This week the Prince of Asturias joined and congratulated all the winners in Madrid.

Lijiao is a gradute from the Northwes A&F University in China and is currently a CSC fellow at the Nagoya University in Japan where he is preparing his PhD THesis doing research in Cooper Oxide nanoflowers. He is here in the framework of a Short Stay scheme financed by the japanese government. He will work under the supervision of Anna Roig in the synthesis of complex nanoparticles with microwaves.
