The paper “Cobaltabis(dicarbollide) ([o-COSAN]−) as Multifunctional Chemotherapeutics: A Prospective Application in Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) for Glioblastoma“, was published in MDPI Journal Cancers.
New paper “Bio and soft-imprinting lithography on bacterial cellulose films“ has been published in the journal Materials Today Chemistry.
New paper “New Carbons derived from alcohol-treated bacterial cellulose with optimal porosity for Li–O2 batteries“ has been published in the journal Renewable Energy.
On June 3, Irene Anton defended her doctoral thesis “Opportunities for bacterial nanocellulose in healthcare. Uses as a cell carrier, corneal bandage and tissue reinforcement”.
Anna Laromaine was the guest of “Màtrix”, a programme about technology at Catalan Ràdio Olot. Anna talked about her scientific career path, her daily life as a researcher and how to stimulate scientific vocations among young people. You can listen to the whole interview here.
The recent paper “Radiolabeled Cobaltabis(dicarbollide) Anion–Graphene Oxide Nanocomposites for In Vivo Bioimaging and Boron Delivery” has been published in ACS Applied Nano Materials. In this study, N&N Group members Amanda Muñoz and Anna Laromaine collaborated with Rosario Núñez and Gerard Tobias from ICMAB by sudying the GO-I-COSAN biocompatibility in the worm C. elegans.
The N&N researchers Sole Roig and Anna Laromained are co-authors of the publication “Enzymically attaching oligosaccharide-linked ‘cargoes’ to cellulose and other commercial polysaccharides via stable covalent bonds” recently published on the International Journal of Biological Macromolecules.
Congratulations to them and their collaborators!
We have a new Doctor in the group! On September 29, N&N Group member Zhongrui Luo defended his PhD thesis “In vivo interactions between food availability and nanoparticles in Caenorhabditis elegans“. Congratulations to Luo and his supervisor Anna Laromaine!
The CSIC launched the JAE Intro 2020: Introduction to research fellowships for University students. The objective of this program is to introduce students to research activity in diverse scientific areas and to enable them to be in contact with CSIC research centres. Three projects are offered by N&N Group. The call is open from 9 March to 9 April 2020.
