When the SARS-CoV-2 virus outbreak began in Spain, the Chinese Students and Scholars Association in Barcelona launched a fundraising campaign. Some institutions and people in China contacted them and donated them masks. This week, the Association has donated 1,000 masks to the ICMAB. Laura González, a former member of the N&N Group, has been awarded the PhD Extraordinary Award by Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, for her doctoral thesis that was developed during the period 2016-2017. Laura’s thesis, “Evaluating inorganic nanoparticles in the living organism Caenorhabditis elegans”, was supervised by Anna Roig and Anna Laromaine.

Good news has been received from Programa d’Indústria del Coneixement! The project Novel Nanocellulose Patches to Treat Corneal Wounds (CORNEAL-BC) has been awarded with a 20.000€ grant.
The N&N group participates in the @NextGEM_eu project, for which we prepared this video explaining how we work with c.elegans. 🪱
